Our October Meeting was a rehearsal of the 2nd degree—we were honoured to be joined by the Past Provincial Deputy Grand Master, Very Worshipful Bro Peter Brooshooft as well as Bro Steve Craddock once again who was able to accept another donation from our WM to the Help for Heroes charity. Due to his outstanding efforts, W.Bro George was able to present a further £2010 to Steve on behalf of the Lodge.

July 2010

Our 5th Annual Bat & Trap match with Sharpers Hall lodge took place on July 4th with a double for Sharpers Hall! The Chestfield Ladies were unable to retain the Drew-Barton Shield, and in the mens match the Drew-Barton trophy was won in a very closely fought battle by Sharpers Hall (plus guests!) making it 3-2 to Sharpers Hall overall. Congratulations to our rivals and many thanks to everyone who attended and helped us raise £130 for our charities. Photos of the event can bee seen here.

On July 17th, our WM hosted our summer BBQ (at his daughter and son-in-law’s house) - a big thanks to Tanya, Jim, George and June for their hospitality! Thanks to the raffle and donations from people who attended, we were able to raise £500 for Help for Heroes and we were delighted to be joined by Bro Steve Craddock (representing the charity) so the WM could make a presentation on the day. A massive thanks to George and June for feeding and watering us all!!

April 2010

Our April meeting was another 1st for the Lodge—Bro Steve Hall, who only became a joining member of our Lodge at our previous meeting, was raised to the 3rd Degree. Congratulations to the Master and all the brethren who took part and helped make it a night for Bro Steve to remember.

March 2010

Our March meeting was a very special occasion for the Lodge, and our Worshipful Master in particular; W.Bro George had the pleasure and privilege of Initiating his Grandson, Danny who serves with Her Majesty's Armed Forces in the Royal Military Police. At 21 years old, Danny is now the youngest member of our lodge (by some margin!), and was Initiated in his Service Uniform as show in the picture. Danny’s Uncle and Guardian were also present to witness this memorable event, as well as W.Bro Roger Odd and other Provincial Officers. We were also delighted to welcome 4 new joining members  into our Lodge and hope they have many happy years with us!

Feb 2010

Congratulations and best wishes for the forthcoming year to W.Bro Geroge Ball, who was installed in the Chair of the Lodge at our meeting on 7th February. Thanks to all who attended (nearly 70 people!) and helped us raise £500 for our charities! Congratulations to W.Bro Brian Dale (on the right in this picture!) who won a giant teddy bear in a draw which raised over £100!
